Dauren Omarbekov

Dauren Omarbekov is a senior at Nazarbayev Intellectual School. He is interested in natural language processing and has spent the past two years exploring how NLP can better support the Kazakh language. Outside of research, Dauren enjoys playing Clash Royale and building small creative side projects.

Helix is a high school junior recognized for her tendency to be as objective as possible and her determination to continuously learn, unlearn, and relearn. Helix plans to study diverse applications and ethical implications of technology in college, but she remains open to exploration. She enjoys logic and single-player social deduction puzzles.

Nisha Verma is a sophomore at Francis Lewis High School. She is interested in politics and hopes to pursue something in the journalism field. Outside of academics, Nisha Verma enjoys watching documentaries and reading about historical or present events. Additionally, she is also a part of a Human-Centered AI project.

Alishba Syed is a junior at New Providence High School. She is passionate about art and writing, and has worked throughout high school to open up humanities-related opportunities for other students. She spends her time out of school creating her own artwork and teaching other writers.

Hiya Bhagat is a senior in high school who loves biology and literature and is still exploring where it might take her. Curious about the world and beyond, she enjoys reading, baking, traveling, and occasionally writing poetry. She values creativity and thoughtful exploration in all she does.

Andrea Estevão has had a strong interest in economics since Grade 7. Since last year, she has been able to develop her skills after beginning to study economics as a subject, rather than having to research topics about it on her own. Besides this, she is a huge football fan and she has supported FC Barcelona since she was six years old.

Yewon Kim is a junior in high school. She is interested in biology and anatomy and has spent the last 2 years dedicating time to learn body systems and nutrition. Outside of STEM, Yewon often spends time exercising and listening to music.

Rishi Saxena is a sophomore at Foothill High School. He is interested in the intersection of AI engineering and global policy. He currently is working on developing technical skills to develop AI assisted models pertaining to news updates. In his free time, Rishi likes listening to music and learning more about AI.
