Accessibility Statement
Effective date: March 3, 2026
Aspan Academic Journal is committed to making its website as accessible and usable as possible for all visitors, including people with disabilities. We believe academic work and student research should be available to the widest possible audience, and we are actively working to improve the accessibility of our digital content.
Our Approach
We aim to follow recognized web accessibility best practices and work toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA where reasonably possible.
Accessibility is an ongoing process rather than a one-time task. As we continue to develop and update the site, we review design, navigation, readability, and content structure with accessibility in mind.
What We Are Doing
We strive to support accessibility by:
- using clear heading structures and readable page layouts;
- maintaining sufficient contrast and legible typography;
- making navigation consistent across the site;
- using descriptive links where possible;
- improving keyboard accessibility and semantic structure over time;
- reviewing new pages and content as the site grows.
Known Limitations
We are still improving some parts of the website. At times, users may encounter limitations such as:
- PDF files that may not yet be fully optimized for screen readers;
- older uploaded content that may have inconsistent formatting;
- images or media that may not always include ideal alternative text;
- occasional issues with third-party embedded content or external links.
We are working to improve these areas over time.
Feedback
We welcome feedback on the accessibility of Aspan Academic Journal. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please let us know and include:
- the page URL;
- a brief description of the issue;
- the device, browser, or assistive technology you were using, if relevant.
Please contact us at:
We aim to respond to accessibility-related feedback as promptly as possible.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is part of our continuing effort to make the site more inclusive, usable, and reader-friendly for everyone. We will continue to review and improve the website as our publication grows.
